About NCR

At North Cascade Recovery, we are committed to a client centered and evidence based approach.  What does this mean to you as our client?  First and foremost, it means that we are concerned about you as a unique and multifaceted person.  We take the time to try to thoroughly understand you, what truly has value to you, and what your goals and preferences are.  Along your side, we assess your life challenges, and the ways we can best help guide you toward the kind of life you wish to be living.  Once that foundation is in place, we apply research driven practices that have been shown to get results.  We are committed to keeping on top of the most promising developments and interventions in the mental health field, so you are more likely to receive the kind of support that will help you make value driven change and the assistance you need to get there.  We are also committed as clinicians to honing our skills through regular continuing education, case consultation and supervision.  With this, you can feel confident that your therapist is striving to offer the very best of what our field has to offer.

In short, we believe that mental health counseling is both the art of compassionate presence, and the science of research based therapeutic techniques.

We proudly serve Skagit, Snohomish and Whatcom county.

Jeffery Roskelley, LICSW

Jeffery Roskelley, LICSWJeff is a client centered therapist first, with a treatment focus informed by evidence based practice.  His guiding intention is to support individuals as they overcome personal challenges, identify their deepest values, and start taking the steps to live the kind of life they aspire to live.  He is currently a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the state of Washington, and has over 10 years of experience in the field.  As a trainer and consultant specializing in the areas of co-occurring disorders and cognitive therapy for psychosis for the University of Washington's Dept of Psychiatry, Jeff has extensive experience working with a broad range of clients and issues, including psychosis, substance use disorder and addiction, chronic illness, stress, and bereavement.  Although he generally works from a cognitive behavioral orientation, his primary focus is guiding and assisting clients toward greater mindfulness, acceptance, and a value filled life, as expressed through Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Kelsy Ozuna, LICSW, CDP, A-SOTP

Kelsy has been practicing as a mental health professional since 2013.  She has worked in a variety of settings with a wide range of people, offering her the opportunity to develop a broad and generous skill set in areas of assessment, diagnosis, and providing ongoing treatment.  Whether working as a therapist with inpatient clients in crisis, clients in long term residential settings, or clients in outpatient and community based care, Kelsy has found that compassion, understanding, and empathy can go a long way in people's recovery.  Her focus as a therapist is to provide compassionate and evidence-based therapy modalities to each individual's unique needs while working primarily from a cognitive behavioral therapy approach.
